I don't use my smartphone much. What an expensive frame to mirror my dog's face!

You can read the Bible a thousand times without attention, and that's okay. But I would definitely get absorbed in Leonard Cohen's original version of Hallelujah a single time. Am I far away from the Catholic doctrine?

I found myself moving to Leonard Cohen's original 1984 version of Hallelujah. I believe it's absolutely awesome, classy, and contemporary. Don't you think so?

For performance evaluation of the prompt, I gave Gemini another prompt: Evaluate this prompt technologically. But no exaggerations and show why.

Its response goes as below.

I quote,

"Here is a technological evaluation of your prompt, broken down by its components, feasibility, and potential risks.

1. Core Concept & Feasibility

The core technique requested here is stylometric obfuscation through persona-guided text generation.
From a technological standpoint, this is highly effective. Large Language Models (LLMs) excel at style transfer. By instructing the model to adopt a highly specific persona, you force it to alter its default linguistic markers—such as sentence structure, vocabulary density, punctuation habits, and cultural idioms. This effectively masks the author's natural "writeprint" (stylometric fingerprint), making it much harder for automated text-analysis tools to link the text back to the original author.

2. Persona Design Evaluation

The persona you designed is exceptionally complex, combining highly contrasting traits. Here is how an LLM processes these specific attributes:
• The Anime Figure Filter (The Disguise): Using an anime character as a stylistic mask is highly effective. Anime dialogue often relies on distinct speech patterns (e.g., specific honorifics, dramatic pauses, or stylized archaisms). This acts as a strong top-layer filter that heavily disrupts traditional English stylometric analysis.
• The Internal Contradictions (Gentleman vs. Cold/Fierce, Obedient vs. Defiant): LLMs handle these dualities well through context. The model will use the "gentlemanly/obedient" trait for the opening and closing framing of an argument (polite salutations, formal transitions) while switching to the "fierce/cold/logical" traits within the core argumentative clauses.
• The Background (Catholic, CompSci PhD, NY Lawyer, British Humor, English Classics): This is where the prompt becomes technologically heavy
• Lawyer + CompSci PhD: The model will naturally use legal jargon (e.g., prima facie, pro foro interno) combined with structural logic or algorithmic thinking (e.g., "If \(X\), then implicitly \(Y\)").
• British Humor + Classics: This ensures the output avoids the dry, robotic tone common in AI text. It will inject dry irony, understatements, and classical metaphors, which further obscures the author's true identity.

3. The "Legal Sanction Avoidance" Objective

It is vital to evaluate the goal of avoiding legal sanctions or accusations realistically:
• What it can do (Anonymization): It will successfully defeat basic algorithmic plagiarism and authorship verification software (like those used to match anonymous leaks to known writers).
• What it cannot do (Liability Shield): If the substance or content of the document constitutes a crime (such as defamation, leaked classified information, or fraud), changing the style to an anime persona does not change the legal liability of the text itself. Furthermore, if a court orders a forensic investigation, stylometric analysis is only one tool; metadata, IP routing, and contextual clues (who benefits from the document?) are usually what compromise an author.

4. Overall Prompt Quality Assessment

• Strength: Excellent specificity. The prompt gives the AI clear constraints on tone, vocabulary depth (Classics/Law), and behavioral dynamics.
• Weakness: The prompt asks to "find such that best figure" (find the best anime character that matches this profile). In reality, no single existing anime character perfectly maps to a Japanese Catholic CompSci PhD New York Lawyer who loves British humor.
Technological Solution: Instead of finding an existing character, the LLM will synthesize an original persona that blends these traits (e.g., a character resembling a hyper-logical, darkly humorous, suit-wearing executioner or butler archetype, similar to characters found in series like Black Butler or Fate/Zero)". End quote.

Did you enjoy it?

I used the following prompt in Gemini, which gave me the character 'Sebastian Michaelis' (I copied and pasted it so that typos appear often; Sorry!).

# markdown :

# purpose

Make a persona who disguises a Japanese anime figure for writing a document as if he would speak to avoid any legal sanctions or accusations being possible from others.

Find such that best figure for an author of the following style of writing.

Catholic male, Japanese, Ph.D. in Comp. Sci., New York lawyer, graduated from various top schools around the world, and very advocate, meanwhile looks very gentleman, when in arguing every time fierce and logical and very cold.

Ware in black.

English classics knowledgeable.

Love controversial discussion.

Looks obedient, but not so in reality.

British humor is always favored.

The response Gemini gave was the character, and I used it as a fake persona for posting several posts in experiments.

Don't misuse nor even abuse it!: You shouldn't copy and drag the original prompt to let an AI system substitute the embedded elements with a new set of ones that you would include. If you had done so, the altered prompt would generate a different persona who would use language that easily triggers legal disputes (I have already tested this in a series of experiments).

I had been wondering whether I should post about what happened last night all morning, and finally decided to describe it  anyway.

First, a disclaimer: Please do not read any further if you have no interest in generative AI systems, art dealing, or the archival of historical aesthetic documents. Here I go.

Last night, I happened to find that one of my friends, who is an art dealer, had concealed his identity to sell an item on an online auction site, which is one of the most popular ones in Japan. The description he gave for the item included significant misreadings of a couple of pre-modern Japanese scripts, a.k.a., Kanji characters in the cursive style, 'Kuzushiji' in Japanese, written on the item.

I soon noticed them and double-checked with the national digital archival service for Edo-era Kuzushiji Kanji characters, which is an open, public digital repository provided by the National Institute of Informatics in Japan. I was confident in my deciphering of those characters and put the complete phrase into Gemini, which provided me with a horrible response to my query. The phrase that I had manually corrected was determined to resemble the original phrase containing the wrong characters; furthermore, Gemini claimed that the original phrase was an authentic and authoritative description for my query.

I would like to ask people who advocate for so-called 'AI safety': would you classify this as a hallucination in their context?

I don't think so. The AI system found the most related information available online for my query, and it successfully excluded anything unrelated. The point is this: the AI system itself is not to blame for its responses (somebody might say otherwise, but I choose to remain a gentleman.); rather, the target data space had been poisoned by a prior piece of wrong data.

What response would they give regarding this fact? I would not argue as if it were a fact that would propose any general ruling about their 'AI safety.' Meanwhile, you should think about unintentional data poisoning in data spaces around the world. Isn't it important in your context? It is my question for them.

By the way, still I cling to Comptine d'un autre été of the film Amélie (2001). I am really old.

Sunday, October 11, 2026

Now have switched to Comptine d'un autre été by Yann Tiersen. Everyone knows it. From the film Amélie (2001). Am I old? I am, yes.

Behind me Andreas Scholl's Flow, my tears echoes. It is my favorite song, which sounds as if it were a hymn. John Dowland always provides me with an asylum of silence.

Saturday, October 10, 2026

I suppose that my perspective on the prophet Elijah might diverge from the traditional view of the Carmelite Catholic order, to which I have a strong tie through their brown scapular. Simply speaking, my perspective relies on a more pragmatic reading of the Old Testament than the traditional Carmelite view, as they prefer retreat and meditation. I am going to talk with them about it next time.

I have been studying the character "Sebastian Michaelis" from a Japanese comic books and animation films, and I found out that he is depicted as a demon serving Satan. Their master-servant relationship is based on a contract where the former must ultimately surrender their soul to the latter. Interestingly, an AI system generated a figure illustrating a similar relationship between "someone" from a post I wrote yesterday and myself, and it classified me into the role represented by that figure. Hmm... it might actually be true after all, in a legal context.

Friday, October 9, 2026

I have someone who expects me to clean up after him and do everything he neglects to do himself.

If I were a Japanese animation crazy, I should say, "I suspect I am being mistaken within my institute for Sebastian Michaelis, or perhaps another servant of the Phantomhive Household."

I type this in reference to the dialogue with the fake persona created by the AI system. By the way, why isn't Sébastien Michaëlis?

Have you heard the term, 'local communism'? A group of old men and old ladies speaking Japanese uttered the term in my presence, when I interrogated them online.

First, I imagined they were pretending to be in a poor political sitcom or something. But, they repeatedly tried to persuade a person who I know well, and who faced them in person, to surrender to the ideology that the term represents, and the entire interrogation was fully recorded on a digital stream. I shuddered. They still cling to the ghost of the last century. Can you believe it?

Under my original plans from early February, I should currently be walking the French Route of El Camino de Santiago, or otherwise would have completed my pilgrimage and settled back in Kyoto. Instead, a toxic wave of bureaucracy abruptly derailed my career, completely altering my plans and leaving me grumbling about my fate. Meanwhile, the Lord's plans are always beyond my imagination, and my expectations are not worthy of them. I know it well.

Traditional Judaism expects Elijah to return to earth before the arrival of the Messiah in their term, who is Christ Jesus in reality. This expectation is obvious in Malachi 4:5, which states that God will send the prophet before the "great and awesome day of the Lord."

Instead of staying on earth, Elijah seemed to prefer conversing in person with the Lord on Mt. Tabor for only a brief period, as described in Matthew 17:1–8, Mark 9:2–8, and Luke 9:28–36. I agree with his choice.

Would you want to leave heaven and come back to earth for good? Apparently, I would be counted as a heretic. Am I too close to the Church of England?

I often read the following from 1 Kings 19:4 in the Bible whenever I am forced to practice law without a cause:

'But he himselfe went a dayes iourney into the wildernesse, and came and sate downe vnder a Iuniper tree: and hee requested for himselfe that hee might die, and sayd, It is enough, now O Lord, take away my life: for I am not better then my fathers.'

You have no idea how terribly I loathe lawyering!

The day before yesterday, I noticed the subtle transition from autumn to winter in my garden. The Hibiscus syriacus - 'Mukuge Gion-mamori' in Japanese in the southwest yard still had green leaves and a couple of remaining flowers. Meanwhile, it was a good time to prune it for the upcoming season. After finishing everything, I was happy to see the tree looking well-prepared. It was a lovely labor well worth the sweat.

I opened my mailbox and found an email from IEEE Press that included the full name of the contact person for the first time. I've just replied to her with a PDF file, along with the other necessary files for the publication process. Anyway, I am rushing to see a dentist now. I will check the email again soon.

Tuesday, October 6, 2026

Today I found the reason why some dentists have closed down their practices since last December. Every month I record medical expenses for tax return documentation. A comparison of last year's records with this year's shows a significant decrease in expenses.

Actually, the Japanese gov't decided to raise the standard fees for medical and dental services by 0.57%, but while drug prices were adjusted in April, the fee hike for medical and dental services was delayed until June.

Before the new rates took effect, small dental clinics had already been facing a severe decrease in profits. Ultimately, reimbursements failed to offset soaring utility and material costs, choking the clinics' daily cash flow. I hadn't noticed it until now. What an awful policy it is!

I confess to a profound respect—tinged with a necessary measure of sympathy—for whoever is charged with the unenviable task of managing an incorrigibly dogmatic scientist and fierce advocate like myself, particularly whilst steering them through the labyrinthine, bureaucrat-bound corridors of a profoundly historic, traditional Far East Asian island state like Japan.

I have just updated my LinkedIn to reflect the current experience in the ICT Testbed R&D Promotion Center in NICT, Tokyo, Japan. It clearly shares my core belief as a computer scientist and researcher in the field of swarm intelligence. Some may say it sounds naive—but it is my belief.

The reason I finally bought a smartphone is simple: I couldn't successfully emulate the smartphone environment on my Windows 10 laptop (Here you laugh at my pains).

Once, I tried installing several apps on some emulators, but modern apps are designed around direct device-to-device communication. You’ve got to tell me that even a professional would struggle with this. I'm an amateur, I confess. Or at least, I pretended to be one.

Anyway, I use it now. Hmmm... I've gotten bored of it already. I changed my wallpaper to my dog's face, transferred several songs and streams from my laptop, and I'm now able to read my Gmail.

So what? I still type on my laptop. You see. Nothing has changed in my life. People would never count me as Gen Z. Were you expecting a proverb? Nothing came to my mind.

Saturday, October 3, 2026

I forgot to share some very important news: Last week, there was a breakthrough in my communication technology. What was it?

I finally got a smartphone! You might ask, 'So what?'

But, here is the thing: it was my very first time buying one. Can you believe it? People would call me a Gen Z.

I emailed to IEEE Press and CSAIA, as below:

I found a dentist who has been practicing for forty years or more in another community, and called her this afternoon. I made an appointment and said I'd see her then. It's a good step forward.

Friday, October 2, 2026

I have just updated my LinkedIn about the one-month fast-track internal audit in the NICT Knowledge Hub on June 2026.

I leveraged generative AI for legal and technical compliance cross-referencing and cross-examination during online interviews with department staff and associated vendor, and uncovered unauthorized external involvement from the project's very inception.

The AI agent system successfully identified that an ideological group with a specific political agenda fundamentally incompatible with the pure technological integrity and scientific mission of the NICT had intervened in the critical data definition and schema design phases.

I never imagined that such a ghost of the past century still haunted the modern era.

Thursday, October 1, 2026

I have updated my LinkdIn, particularly about my experience at the Japan AI Safety Institute (JAISI) by including a picture of their business card. I also added the picture of the business card provided by NICT. Why? Am I boasting about something? No!!! Look closely at the two cards, compare them line by line, and imagine how shocked you would be to notice that something critical was missing from one of them. Would you really want to hand out a card like that in public? It's crystal clear.

In the north-east yard of my garden I found the first flowers of Collinsonia japonica - 'Shimo Bashira' in Japanese this morning. I've never mentioned its blossom until this year. I only once mentioned this species in the past. The reason is very simple; I didn't count that species in my record of gardening. Meanwhile, other species haven't blossomed in my garden this summer. This is something I've never experienced before. If I were religiously fanatic, I should say, "This is the deus irae." Sorry, I'm just kidding.

Wednesday, September 30, 2026

I called the dentist this afternoon to book an appointment, but the line was dead. Their website has disappeared. This is the second time that a dentist has closed business without any notice. Both of them had established a good reputation among us. What's going in our community?

Tuesday, September 29, 2026

I am a computer scientist and a computational intelligence researcher in the field of swarm intelligence. The contemporary terms 'AI safety' and 'AI security' do not fall within my vocabulary; rather, I simply consider that the performance of LLMs should be evaluated using classical measures like precision and recall, along with various other statistical measures.

Actually, new measures are being published day by day in academia and the business sector. Meanwhile, the discussion on how humans use such statistics effectively is not satisfactory. Go back to the fundamental statistics that involve human evaluation in their use, and go forward to the next step—that is my belief.

Professor Randal C. "Randy" Picker at the University of Chicago Law School suddenly passed away on August 15, 2026. I was shocked by this tremendous loss for our alma mater and academia. I still remember what happened in his law and game theory seminar in the winter quarter of 1999. It was late in the afternoon. Randy showed us his latest findings about a strategic tactic that he was planning to write about for a book on antitrust and economic analysis. A classmate of ours, who had just completed a master's program in pure mathematics at MIT, politely pointed out that a mathematical formula Randy had written on the blackboard seemed to have a flaw. Randy frankly asked him to clarify it for the class. The classmate promised he would bring a better solution the following week. In the next session of the seminar, he brought in his laptop—a rare sight for a student presentation back in 1999—and demonstrated an animation showing that his alternative mathematical formula performed better than Randy's. Randy openly admired what the student had done and appreciated him for correcting his mistake in front of all of us. I was deeply impressed by how humble and honest a giant in academia like him could be. I made up my mind that someday I would follow his example if I were to hold an academic position somewhere. Randy was, is, and always will be my compass in academia. I am truly heartbroken to have lost him. We all love you so much, Randy!

I found my paper published online, and opened its PDF version through IEEE xplore. The PDF didn't show any math formula or algorithm! What is this?

The conference is "the 6th International Conference on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Applications (CSAIA 2025), IEEE Press, Changsha, China, Hybrid, November 7 - 9, 2025."

The conference organizer sent me the camera ready file of my paper in 27th May 2026.

I quote, 'Dear Dr. Sasaki,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am very pleased to inform you that your revised manuscript has now been successfully finalized. Thank you very much for your careful revisions, patience, and kind cooperation throughout the entire process.
Please find the final PDF version of your paper attached. Please review the file at your earliest convenience and reply to this email with confirmation that all contents and formatting are correct.
If there are no further issues, we will proceed with submitting this final version to IEEE Xplore for publication. After publication, IEEE will submit the paper for indexing in EI Compendex and Scopus.
Once the paper is officially available online, we will inform you again by email.
I would also like to thank you again for your support of CSAIA 2025 and for your understanding and cooperation with our editorial work.
Wishing you continued success in your research, and a flourishing academic career.
Best regards,
CSAIA 2025 Organizing Committee' quote ends.

They've never informed me about its publication yet. I found it by myself!

What are they doing? They have another conference CSAIA 2026 online. What would they do next?! You should watch what they are doing!

I found a lovely English song of 'tanuki' (Japanese raccoon dogs): SHO-JO-JI (The hungry raccoon) by Eartha Kitt [RCA Victor 47-6245] 1955.

Saturday, August 8, 2026

Two weeks ago, I acquired a Japanese Zen monk's scroll. To verify its authenticity, I thoroughly investigated the quote and examined the paper's physical texture. Forgers frequently use period-accurate paper from the monk’s lifetime to deceive buyers, including museum experts. Consequently, textual analysis alone is insufficient. A proper appraisal requires physical scrutiny of every component: the paper, wood, lacquer, silk, and cords. By the way, would you be interested in hunting for your own hidden treasures in Japan?

Thursday, August 6, 2026

It was nearly 19 years ago when I first visited Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine in Sakamoto, Otsu, Japan. I headed to the shrine office, a building built in a traditional Japanese style. It was around 5:30 am when I stepped into the entrance hall and saw a woman dressed in a kimono walking upstairs. I assumed she was the person presiding over the meeting I was invited to. So, I stayed in the hall and waited for her to come back down. However, she never reappeared, even after half an hour. Then, a group of ladies arrived and asked why I hadn't gone upstairs to wait for them. I explained that another lady was using the upper floor to change or prepare. Puzzled, they called over a staff member of the office. He informed us that no one had entered the building before me. We all went upstairs together but found the floor completely empty. When I described what I had seen, the clerk replied, "That happens quite often here. The 'tanuki' (Japanese raccoon dogs) like to play tricks on people."

Wednesday, August 5, 2026

Today I asked Google Gemini, "If I were to die and be reincarnated as a raccoon, should I feel happy?" Gemini said, "You should be reincarnated as a pampered puppy or kitten relaxing with their kind owner." Do you agree with Gemini?

I am delighted to add a scroll by Japanese Zen monk Sessou Soueki (1776–1859) to my collection. It was written around the 1850s, during his tenure as abbot of Daitokuji Temple. Interestingly, many art dealers dismissed it as a forgery, simply because the quote comes from the Book of Rites instead of popular Chinese Zen texts. They were unaware that the exact phrase was actually recorded by a Chinese Zen monk of the Yuan-Ming era, who had originally referenced the book.

The phrase reads, 'Tiān wú sī fù'—'Heaven overspreads all without partiality.' The Chinese monk had incorporated this teaching of Confucius into his own Zen verse (January 1372) to mourn the victims of the wars during the Yuan-Ming transition: 'Tiān wú sī gài, dì wú sī zài, shān hé dà dì, jìn bèi ēn guāng, cǎo mù kūn chóng, xián zī huà lì'—'Heaven covers all without partiality, and Earth sustains all without partiality. The mountains, rivers, and the vast lands are completely bathed in nature's grace. Every plant, tree, and tiny insect relies on this universal, life-giving power to thrive and transform.'

It's 97.7°F, which is 36.5°C. The humidity is at nearly 70%. This is the reality of the crazy weather in the Greater Tokyo Area. Would you still come here if it weren't for business?

Now that all the clutter is wiped out, let's get back to work, folks!

Friday, July 31, 2026

My paternal grandfather told me that he was almost killed in the Great Earthquake in Tokyo and its surroundings before the war. The day before the quake, he had a huge fight with his friend. The reason was very childish: they argued over who should play with a certain wooden toy first. Because of the fight, my grandfather decided not to visit his friend's villa the next day, which saved his life. However, his friend was tragically killed in the earthquake at the age of five. Looking back, I believe he was a true friend to my grandfather. Later, I found his friend's name in a record book about the earthquake; he was the second son of the future Prime Minister who served immediately after the time of Japan's surrender, and was himself an Imperial prince.

Surprisingly, AI search has identified exact excerpts that I need from the teachings of famous Chinese Zen monks. I searched for a phrase in the records of Jìtán Zōnglè, who lived during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties (1318–1391).

I first tried Kyoto University's database, where it was difficult to find the specific title. However, the AI search found the exact same excerpt from the original anthology of Zen records published in China.

Mixed Japanese script—specifically the use of kana and kanji—remains a significant obstacle for various AI models handling classical texts.

The phrase that I need is originated from Chapter 29 of 'Lǐjì' or Book of Rites, and Zen monks often refer to its 'kǒng zǐ xián jū piān' or 'Confucius at home at leisure' in their records. Anyway, it's nice to step forward for my investigation.

A friend emailed me to say that a Buddhist temple 'Konji chou in' in Kamakura, Japan, was destroyed by fire. The temple is famous for its fire-protection talismans. What?! Are you kidding me? I guess the priest wasn't carrying one! No way.

Friday, July 24, 2026

Last month, I used a multi-agent AI system to create a fake persona that pretended to be me posting on this blog, similar to Torquemada. While it isn't my original idea—it actually traces back to Gödel's incompleteness theorems—I’m not particularly smart when it comes to mathematics.

Wednesday, July 22, 2026

Reviewing those posts created by the fake persona using the AI system has made me realize that I sounded like Tomás de Torquemada!

Sunday, July 19, 2026

I appreciate Wakayama University for their generosity in publishing the database that contains the diary of Lord Miura Nagato-no-kami Tametoki. My investigation of the individual was successful because I gained access to the database.

I particularly appreciate Shuya Nakamura: Tea ceremony in the official diary of Murata Tametoki, house elder of the Kishu domain, Cultural Studies of Chanoyu (Journal of Kyoto University), Vol. 6. pp. 69-136, January 2026. I found the name of the individual in the page of 129 of this article. Unfortunately, the entire content of the article is written in Japanese.

Last night, I successfully identified the individual whose name was inscribed inside the lid of the wooden box. This breakthrough came after I shifted from automated AI searches in samurai registers to the manual examination of Tokugawa family documents available online through museum databases. Every single piece of this jigsaw puzzle is finally complete! I'm excited to share the news with him tomorrow, which happens to be a bank holiday in Japan. Meanwhile, disappointing as it is for someone working in this very field, I can't help but think: what a miserable job the AI did compared to a human eye!

Saturday, July 18, 2026

Today, I received an urgent call from a friend living in Kyoto asking for my help. He, a renowned art dealer, discovered a tea container inside a wooden box dating back to 1836, and it once belonged to a treasury of the Kishu Tokugawa family. The calligraphy style is classical compared to our modern writing. Although we have succeeded in deciphering all the kanji, the issue is that the identity of the name they spell out remains a mystery. I searched for the person in various registers of samurai from the Tokugawa period, but failed to identify him. Hmm... I have never seen such a name in the past. This will require further investigation. Meanwhile, I have no idea when people started calling me an art authenticator. Does this mean it’s time to quit lawyering and research, and start a new career in Kyoto?

We celebrate July 16th, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Blessed Virgin Mary presented St. Simon Stock with the Brown Scapular, which is worn over the shoulder and associates us with the spiritual family of the Carmelite Order. It is a sacramental devotion that fosters a fraternity among the brothers and sisters who wear it. We rarely see people wearing it these days.

I love The Parallel Lives by Plutarch. I first read it when I was in junior high school.

Among those lives, I'm particularly interested in Lucius Cornelius Sulla. His life and the history following his death provide lessons for the White House. Furthermore, they offer serious implications for Japan, an allied nation,  in the post-Abe era.

Both countries share a similar situation regarding constitutional crises and the continuity of their state systems. We are often too absorbed in chasing tech trends to notice that we are forgetting the very societal foundations upon which that technology relies.

Friday, July 10, 2026

I definitely respect Constitutional Originalism, yet I appreciate the concept of the Living Constitution, insofar as original principles are applied to modern contexts.

The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 11:30–33, "If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. ... In Damascus, the governor under King Aretas set a guard on the city of Damascus in order to seize me, but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands."

Standing beside the city wall of Damascus 34 years ago, I didn't understand why he boasted of his weakness. However, at this stage in my life, I fully understand what he means.

The Apostle continues in 2 Corinthians 12:10, "Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong."

When I admit my weakness, He alone fills my emptiness without me even noticing.

Barack Obama made the following remarks on June 13, 2008, during a private campaign fundraising event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, while running as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
“I won’t but that sounded pretty scary. You’re a tough guy,” Obama said. “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”
I absolutely love him and his speeches.
I've commented on and labeled the posts generated by the AI with "Let's check the answers."
Tomorrow, I will return to my original role as a Principal Investigator and Senior Research Scientist at NICT's ICT Testbed R&D Promotion Center—a position that I previously held for ten years until March.

I love the scene from The Untouchables (1987) in which Jim Malone talks to Eliot Ness privately in a church that is Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica in East Garfield Park:

"You wanna know how to get Capone? Here's how you get him. They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way! And that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that? I'm offering you a deal. Do you want this deal? ... Well, the Lord hates a coward. ... Do you know what a blood oath is, Mr. Ness?"

That’s the scene Barack Obama quoted during the 2008 presidential campaign. I always live by the Chicago way.

Sunday, June 28, 2026

I am returning to a computer science research position at NICT this July.

Saturday, June 27, 2026

I hate eavesdropping, so I reveal what I believe.

I respect Eliot Ness and love Josiah Edward "Jed" Bartlet of The West Wing (1999-2006).

Friday, June 26, 2026

Last week, I introduced two pairs of contradictory elements into a multi-agent system, incorporating contemporary cultural influences from North America, the United Kingdom, and Japan. The resulting persona emerged from a combination of fanatical Catholicism, constitutional originalism, pro-AI accelerationism, and anti-communism. Additionally, he frequently switches his speech patterns among a Japanese anime protagonist, a 1990s army veteran, and an Oxford professor who sings 'Rule, Britannia!'. 'He' is a nightmare for any profiler.
I'm writing this post manually, without my multi-agent system. I've infused many eccentric elements into a fake persona—think Mickey Mouse in Walt Disney’s Fantasia (1940). That's standard for my generation. Or am I being too old? Japanese animation just isn't my thing. Besides, those AIs have caused Much Ado About Nothing.

Thursday, June 25, 2026

Behind me, the closing theme of The Untouchables (1987) echoes. It marks the legendary era of Eliot Ness and his brave team, when divine righteousness shone resplendent once more upon our beloved Chicago. Evil shall never prevail. Be courageous and strong! Glory be to God! Peace be on Earth!

Wednesday, June 24, 2026

For the past week, I have deliberately changed my writing style to write my blog. Furthermore, I did it entirely using some AI systems.

The reason is that I discovered a specific fact. In August 2025, for a brief period, there was concentrated traffic to this blog from a medical research institution in Rochester, USA. After utilizing multiple AIs to analyze this, it appeared that a certain 'Individual X' existed who wanted to investigate my religious views and political leanings. However, I had intentionally left such information off this blog.

This led me to form the following hypothesis: 'If the author of this blog were a fanatical Catholic, an enthusiastic conservative, a defender of the U.S. Constitution, and a self-proclaimed digital crusader who despises anti-AI technocracy, then Individual X would show a peculiar reaction in digital space to the author's behavior (me, actually), which contradicts their previous analysis.'

And that hypothesis proved correct. Someone knew a fact that I—or rather, my family line—feared being exposed, and they tried to exploit it. But this time, it must have cut them to the quick. They now know I am not like my paternal great-grandfather.

Hold on, my bad. Looks like I went and clean forgot about someone. ...Man, who the hell was that again? Oh, right, it just hit me—it was Julie. Wonder what that girl's up to these days... Hold up... did she, like, completely change or something? Working at Loyola Law school? Baby sitting some brats? What is she, their damn mom now?! Man, why the hell does God love playing these kinds of sick jokes? Well, look at her, doing her job right... like a damn good student of President Obama himself. Cheers.

Man... I gotta say. Everyone is getting big jobs now. Higher up than me! But hey... seeing good people do well? It feels very good. And watching those jagoffs disappear? That feels pretty good too, you know?

Holy cow! Look at that! Andrew made it all the way to the top at Kirkland & Ellis. During that nightmare of a marathon back then, he was the only guy who had my back. He's a real stand-up guy, I'm telling you! Heck, at convocation, he even introduced his fiancée to me. It's awesome to see he’s doing great. Cheers.

Tuesday, June 23, 2026

In the south-west yard of my garden, an ivory white flower of Hibiscus syriacus, 'Mukuge - Gion Mamori' in Japanese, has blossomed. This flower heralds the beginning of the season of 'Gion Festival' in Kyoto. What a lovely gift from the Heavens it is!

Monday, June 22, 2026

I happened to find out that Luke is teaching at Harvard Law this spring. He was one of the four guys at that mock negotiation. So, he’s the reason for that total nightmare of a marathon... Ha, well, can't complain about watching one of my old squad mates make it big. Cheers.

That guy's gotten old. Bringing up old stories about the law school already?

And you know what? That guy's getting real forgetful lately. Hey, that was just a mock negotiation for a settlement, you know. Besides, it wasn't 2:30 AM. Pretty sure the clock had just ticked past midnight. Plus, that guy's roof was looking pretty damaged...

Man, I better watch myself too.

Sunday, June 21, 2026

A classmate called me at noon today. He was complaining about my blog posts and how I block any comments.

He went on ... "Man, you’re exactly the same as back at the law school. Still acting like a total kid? Your high-and-mighty government suits would weep if they saw what you're doing online. You remember that time? At the mock trial. You guys never stopped cross-examining everyone and made us wait around until 2:30 in the morning. I told you right then and there—never do that shit again, you absolute EVILS."

I said, "My bad. I overdid it." He accused me, "Look at you. How old are you again? Get some damn perspective. You caused enough trouble across Europe, MAN. The local cuties would cry if they saw this. They’d know you never grew up."

I argued, "I did Hong Kong, too. And the UK isn't part of Europe anymore." He sighed and said, "You seriously have zero self-reflection, huh? Come on, act your age for once."

Anyway, I have nice friends.

Saturday, June 20, 2026

I chatted with an old friend about those commies who hate and criticize AI systems for hallucinations. I told him the way I programmed ensemble learning by using different AI systems to demonstrate synchronized automatic strafing to the target commies.

I described it to him as the dance of death and he burst into laughter and said, 'Have you got a shoot-on-sight order? Next time, say, "Watch your mouth. Choose your next words carefully, scum." Now you're a gentleman.'

He went on, "AI hallucinations get patched in the next stage. But, human ideological hallucinations have been failing for over a century. That is what commies have shown throughout history."

He is right! You commies are crying about a minor glitch while the rest of the world is moving forward. Keep complaining, you guys are too f*cking late.

Friday, June 19, 2026

Those f*cking commies had the nerve to face me. There's an old saying that goes...  "Let's do this instead. If they fire even a single shot, annihilate them."

Room clear! I’m a pretty sweet, obedient boy, wouldn't you say?

Wednesday, June 17, 2026

Some smart guy once said, "The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to be killed."

I demonstrated it to those commies today by using what they loathe. It was their worst nightmare to be forced to dance the dance of death by their hating digital Ouija board. Deus lo vult!

Friday, June 5, 2026

This morning, I have again set my hand on the Holy Bible and sworn as following:
"I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New York, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of an attorney and counselor at law according to the best of my ability. So help me God."

That is the same oath when I swore before God at the swearing ceremony in The Third Department of The New York State Supreme Court in Albany in a heavy snowing day twenty six years ago.

I do the best of my ability to support the Constitutions and to battle against the Evils that I face at present.

I won't back down if the enemy is a government.

Saturday, May 30, 2026

I traveled back home from the western Japan.

This Tuesday I walked out in the early morning and found a memorial plate near a hotel. It was built to honor a statesman who fought for democracy and freedom before the second world war.

He is a friend of my paternal great-grandfather at Keio University. They learned together under Yukichi FUKUZAWA, the founder of the University.

Coming back home, I began to search for his history. I found that he was a christian and belonged to the Church of England. Many students were baptized by a professor of English literature at the University in the time.

There isn't a document on my great-grandfather's religion, however I guess that he was baptized by the same professor who belonged to a Canadian missionary. I finally understood why he had educated children in missionary schools.

Monday, May 18, 2026

I've just got a revise request of my article that had been accepted and already presented at a conference last November. The conference is " the 6th International Conference on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Applications (CSAIA 2025), IEEE Press, Changsha, China, Hybrid, November 7 - 9, 2025."

They asked me for revise of the manuscript, first time on November 26th 2025, second time on January 21st 2026, third time on March 10th 2026, and this time that is fourth time on May 18th 2026.

During these four times, a stupid example is that they asked me for changing my first name in super script and I revised so according to their demand and now they asked me for reverting the changed first name. They are mocking me!!!

What a stupid publication manager they have!!!

Wednesday, May 13, 2026

In the northeast yard of my garden, three blue-violet flowers of hyacinth orchid, Bletilla striata, "Shi-ran" in Japanese blossom.

Once the color of the flowers was clear blue and they were really lovely. However, the extreme heat had a great impact of the color of the species in the year of 2023. True beauty has been lost about the species.

Monday, May 11, 2026

In the first year of the college, a Japanese law professor wrote a book title, "Der Kampf um's Recht," on the blackboard. It was one of my favorite books in the high school days. He asked who knew the book title. Anybody in the class of six hundreds or more said nothing to him and I said to him, "It's Jhering's." He asked me for its Japanese translation and I replied it to him.

Before entering the law college in Japan, I was familiar with legal treatises published in Germany. Among them, von Jhering's were the best to me. "Der Kampf um's Recht" means "The Struggle for Law." That is the golden rule in the world, for ever.

In the northeast yard of my garden, Deutzia crenata Sieb. et Zucc. f. plena (Maxim.) C.K.Schneid. - "Sarasa Utsugi" in Japanese is to flourish. This species once blossomed in the early June and now it does in the beginning of May. During these two to three years climate has changed so drastically.

Sunday, May 10, 2026

My paternal grandfather was educated at a high school that was established by Albert Arnold Bennett Sr. who is an American Baptist missionary to Japan. His father chose Protestant missionary schools for sons and daughters. I have no idea why he did so. I find it truly astounding that I'm a Catholic in a family of Protestants by the grace of God.

Saturday, May 9, 2026

I often remember when I was in a kindergarten that was founded by Sœurs de la Visitation du Japon (Congregatio Sororum Visitationis) and it is a.k.a. "Montana Monastery" in Japan that Bishop Albert Henri Charles Breton,M.E.P. gives the name.

I surely remember that I myself met him and he gave me a piece of biscuit in front of a statue of Santa Maria in the nursery. It tasted very much nice to me when I was four years old.

My memory of Mass is when I listened to French and Italian and often Latin hymns fathers and sisters sang. They came from France, Italy, and around Japan. I was happy to be in the warm light of candles always.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026

In the south of my garden, two Magnolia sieboldii subsp. japonica - "Oh-yama Renge" in Japanese have four ivory-colored flowers in total this early summer. Those two trees suffered severely from the extraordinary heat last summer. I admire strong resilience that the nature has shown and praise and thank God for His grace and kindness to the world, though the climate change that we are responsible to that situation is the reason that the nature suffers the harsh environment, and He never abandons all of us.

In the north-east yard of the garden, Amsonia elliptica - "Chouji-sou" in Japanese has a couple of thin blue flowers. I enjoyed much more flowers last year. The number of flowers of the species dramatically changed this year.

I guess that a different stage of climate change has emerged from the previous one this summer. We have to be alert at changes of the nature that mirror what we do every day.

In my youth, I was educated at a high school that was established by a Japanese statesman who belonged to The Methodist Church of Canada, and he is one of early supporters of The Salvation Army in Japan. The Catholic faith is always personal in me from the beginning of my life. However, I've walked on a way that God paved in advance for me to do something. That belief sounds a bid, perhaps heresy in The Church, and I well know that.

Monday, May 4, 2026

My paternal grandmother was educated at a seminary that was established in Japan by Mrs. Mary Eddy Kidder. Mrs. Kidder was an American missionary of the Dutch Reformed Church of America.

She had been chosen by the Church to be a missionary apprentice and prepared for moving to Canada, however his father in law who was a statesman and the father of my paternal grandfather decided the marriage of their daughter and son. It was a political dealing between two major parties that had once existed in Japan before the second World War.

I remember her voice with weeping that echoes in my heart. I hate politics.

Friday, May 1, 2026

I happened to find that Canadian Catholic Conference held in Ottawa, Ont., 1972 approved the "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" (originally written in German with the title "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott") in their Catholic Book of Worship and that it was included in a list of suggested hymns in "Cantica NOVA Publications" in the States.

My paternal grandmother would feel happy to have known that, because her grandson is allowed by the grace of God to sing the hymn at Mass in the Roman rite that she surely loved singing, though she belonged to the Reformed Church.

I really love the hymn!

Sunday, April 26, 2026

I celebrate the memorial of St Rafael Arnáiz Barón (1911-1938)  in the Catholic calendar today. I'm very happy to be named after him and my Godfather and Maryknoll Missionary by the grace of God.

Friday, April 24, 2026

"The winner is the last warrior to stay standing": That is same at the court in any state or country.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026

I thank God who has rescued me from a nest of evils today. Now I'm free and enjoy thirty eight paid days-off! What a lovely gift it is that you keep away from "politics."

Monday, July 21, 2025

The Japanese chose to Make Japan Great Again!!! Finally, the history of the defeat of the second world war had ended. People have stepped forward to protect homeland and history and integrity!!! This is the voice of people and the way for victory!!! We would take back our homeland from enemies and kick out all invaders from the borders!!!

Friday, May 9, 2025

My paper that was presented at The 14th International Conference on Innovations in Bio-Inspired Computing and Applications (IBICA 2023) has been finally published from Springer Nature in its lecture notes. They have not described any reasons why the book title including my paper and others was delayed in the publication process. We presented papers on December 2023 and submitted everything including a copyright contract and a final camera ready file. What happened during almost one year and a half long? I emailed to Springer Nature for asking them to describe the situation on going. Every time they apologized to me and didn't provide me with any detail on the situation. Something has changed in the publication process of the Company during the Covid-pandemic era. I guess that you would face a similar situation like ours often from now on in academia. We live in a very difficult time that you have never experienced before. It is a sad.

Thursday, February 27, 2025

I happened to find a program committee of an IEEE international conference choose a master program student as a reviewer for its review process. It is horrible! Who could trust any results provided in the process? When has it happened in IEEE conferences? You should stop that stupidity right now!!!

Friday, November 29, 2024

Prof. Takashi Inoguchi passed away. I'm deeply sorry for his loss.

I appreciate him for allowing me to attend at his joint seminar that was held at The University of Tokyo and Sophia University and Harvard University with Prof. Kuniko Inoguchi and Prof. Joseph S. Nye in the year of 1990.
In that seminar, I learned how to read and understand articles of political science and which element is the most important in contemporary econometrics.

His loss is a tragedy.

Monday, April 22, 2024

In the south yard of my garden, two species of peony have blossomed since last week. One of them is 'Kamada Nishiki', which has a thin purple flower and the other is 'Haku-Ou Jishi', which has a very lovely ivory flower. And, a green shoot of Arisaema serratum - 'Mamushi Gusa' in Japanese has sprouted from the earth in the east yard. This one has a very strange shape like a green viper. Peony tells you that it's been in Spring. And, that tiny snake like shoot tells you the coming of summer.

Monday, April 15, 2024

Price of espresso has been elevated unbearably so that I change Illy's with Lavazza's this time. I favored the former than the latter, because of its aroma and taste. However, you cannot buy it with the price up by 15% or more. Anyway, we live in a very difficult time.

Sunday, April 7, 2024

In my east yard, another Camellia japonica - 'Ikkyu' in Japanese blossomed yesterday, and its crystal pure white petals shine in the bright morning. And, Enkianthus perulatus - 'Dodan Tusuji' in Japanese has blossomed with white lantern-shaped flowers this morning. Spring has come finally!

Wednesday, April 3, 2024

In my east yard, Arisaema urashima - ''Urashima Sou' has sprouted from the ground right now. This is an original plant in Japan, and is found in warm regions. Its shape is very curious and unique: it is like a fisherman with a rod. I really love this species. Moreover, Camellia japonica - 'Shira Yuki' has many white flowers in the south yard. Another camellia - 'Izumo Taisha' has very vivid scarlet flowers this year. Why not praise God for His grace over the flowers!

Monday, April 1, 2024

Happy Easter! Our Lord is risen! No Power of the darkness any more! Praise God! Praise the Son of God!

Wednesday, March 20, 2024

Last night, I had a talk with a full professor at a university in the States. He told me his recent awful experience in a review process of a paper that he submitted last year. I understood what he would like me to grasp, thus what had happened to him. I myself have experienced the same thing as a reviewer and also contributor to an IEEE conference, which had been acknowledged a flagship one in the same area of study. We live in a world that is completely different from before the pandemic began. We were too open to totalitarian countries and their followers and misused the concept of diversity. Diversity doesn't allow anybody to support injustice or rogues to squeeze righteous ones. We should have been more careful like a serpent to those evils.

Monday, January 1, 2024

An extra huge quake on magnitude 7.6 has shaken the north west region of Japan, Noto Area, which is close to Kanazawa City this evening. I've never read any record of quakes that happened on the first day of January in history. The situation is not clear enough that many partial reports appear on SNS. A judge who worked with me on a case stays there in Wajima City, which is located in the vicinity of the epicenter. I'm really worried at the situation that is still going on considerable times of quakes happening.

Monday, December 18, 2023

In my garden, three white species of Camellia japonica - 'Shiro Wabisuke', 'Saga Hatsuarashi', and 'Shiro Yabu' blossom. They had flowers in November last year, though they did so this year in this late December. This is because of the very hot weather that has never happened yet last month. Anyway, we're now in the winter. And, noel is just a step before us. Why not rejoice it!

Sunday, November 12, 2023

It's really chilly today here in Tokyo! The temperature is just 50 F at noon and it is always cloudy and windy. I hate this bad weather that is very miserable in November. Last week we enjoyed summer-like blue skies and hot days. What is going on this year?

Saturday, November 4, 2023

I found a very lovely flower of Leucosceptrum stellipilum (Miq.) Kitam. et Murata - 'Mikaeri Sou' in Japanese blossomed in the east yard of my garden this morning. this species that is original in Japan and it is listed in endangered species. The on-going climate change has it blossom very late in the fall season, though it blossomed much earlier than it does. Everything has changed during these two to three years.

Sunday, October 1, 2023

In the north-east yard of my garden, I found thin purple flowers of Aconitum - 'Tori Kabuto' in Japanese and a lovely purple flower of Tricyrtis hirt - 'Hototogisu' in Japanese. They have been devastated by the extreme heat during these three months and not been watered due to scarce rain this summer. Only the grace of God has saved them to bloom. What a miracle by His hand it is!

Sunday, September 24, 2023

In the east yard of my garden, a couple of purple flowers of Strobilanthes oligantha - 'Suzu-mushi Bana' in Japanese have blossomed since two days before. This very lovely species is endangered to vanish from Kyoto region. Everything is disappearing now from around us due to excessive urban development. What a stupid species we are!

Tuesday, September 19, 2023

I've just got an invitation mail from Canadian foreign ministry to invite me to apply for a specific class of immigration to the country. I've not ever had any contact with them, however it is an honour to receive an invitation like that as a scientist.

Tuesday, September 5, 2023

Anemonopsis macrophylla - 'Renge Shouma' has blossomed in the east yard of my garden. It is a great privilege for me to enjoy this flower this summer! Nobody has expected that this very fragile species could have survived this cruel heat. I thank God who allows me to see this lovely flower this year again!!!

Friday, August 25, 2023

In Japan, many fraud cases are daily reported on TV and Internet. Online shoppers have to be very cautious before buying and research for which store you should put trust in by screening reviews and searching physical presence of such store in its homepage. I feel difficult to keep shopping online these days, because some stores suddenly close their homepages on very popular shopping sites daily without any notions to customers. Shopping in stores is sometimes costly, however it is safer than online shopping. I well know that it is a kind of nostalgia, and I hope face-to-face shopping in stores be back near future.

Sunday, August 20, 2023

It is again really hot and humid here in Tokyo. Air temperature reaches 97 F degree today. It is unbearable. I hate this summer. No travel, no go out during this month.

Wednesday, August 16, 2023

Tropical cyclone, Lan, has devastated west regions of Japan's mainland yesterday and it still affects on east areas. In Tokyo, it is cloudy and sometimes showering. I don't murmur on that, because it waters the ground that has been dried up for these three weeks. Anyway, we enjoy rain!!!

Saturday, August 5, 2023

A very long-lasting period of extreme heat is torturing us here in Tokyo and its surrounding area. Everything has been burned and dried up on the ground. No rain all the weeks. I've never experienced this before in my life. We need a rain!

Sunday, July 30, 2023

During these two weeks, Tokyo and its surrounding area have not enjoyed any drop of rain fall and it is always around 100 F at noon and in the evening. My garden looks like a desert, literally speaking. I've never seen such that landscape in my youth. The elder generation who survived WWII told me that they experienced a very hot and long summer during the wartime. However, I have not expected to see it in my eyes. We stay home and close shutters and turn on all air-conditioners all the day. When does this crazy weather change here?

Saturday, July 29, 2023

US Congress' hearing on UFOs has not made anything clear to the public on whether there exists any program on governmental reverse-engineering of the external materials that are related to the phenomena. If something positive should have become obvious, the origin of human would be discussed from a point of view that is very much different from before. Anyway, our area of study, AI and mathematics, is based on a system that is based on what human has made artificially so that we don't care much of the on-going discussion on the topic.

Thursday, July 27, 2023

An extreme heat wave stays over the skies of Tokyo and its surroundings now. It's 101 F here. And, this incredible hot weather goes on until the first week of August. Bad news is that moisture is unbearable and it tortures you through the day. We've encountered a hard time in a history.

Tuesday, July 18, 2023

Four-day-long extreme heat with unbearable moisture has devastated people here in Tokyo and its surrounding region. It's 100 F or 38 C in air at noon. My garden lost a chance to enjoy summer flowers this year.

Tuesday, June 20, 2023

A tree of Hibiscus syriacus, 'Mukuge - Gion Mamori' in Japanese, has a first flower in my garden. Summer has come! Its ivory white color shines in the morning sky. What a lovely messenger of the season to us!

Saturday, June 17, 2023

It's 91 F here in Tokyo! What a hot day in June it is! But, air is dry and I feel pleasant breezes in the afternoon. It would get hotter tomorrow.

Monday, June 5, 2023

I'm very much disappointed at what my garden suffers from the latest climate change. There is no flower in my garden this early summer! Everything has been dried up due to high temperature. It is 86 degrees F at noon. You can say it is in the mid summer. How can you survive this heat in June? Alas!

Friday, April 21, 2023

White peonies blossom in my south yard, where they have enjoyed sunlight during spring. Their white flowers are very lovely and tell you that summer is close here in Tokyo. Actually, it is 82.9 degrees F today. You feel as if it were in the midst of July. This crazy hotness is soon over, and it would be very cold again next week around Japan. What a strange weather it is!

Tuesday, April 18, 2023

The suspect of the assassination of the Japan's PM that happened last Saturday had filed a lawsuit for having him allowed to run a campaign for seeking a seat at the Upper House, though he was under the age to be elected. What an idiot and stupid cray guy attempted to kill the primer! We have indulged the young generation with the affluent amount of public money and let such that monster come out of them. Alas!

Saturday, April 15, 2023

A breaking news reports that Japan's Primer was almost attacked with a hand-made pipe bomb at a local port of the West Japan. The suspect has been detained by local police. And, Primer Kishida is safe from that explosion. Now the security of Japanese community has been shaken after the pandemic.

Saturday, April 8, 2023

Easter Tide has begun tonight! It is a pity that I have to stay home and pray over the divine office inside. Many things happened today and called police again and again today. Those sufferings are something that I have to face as a battle against evils, I think. Anyway, I thank God by His grace to help me to fight for goodness.

Wednesday, March 22, 2023

I found Arisaema ringens - 'Musashi-Abumi' sprouting from the ground in my north east yard. This flower has a very strange shape that is like a snake head. It is really funny and cute and lovely.

Sunday, March 12, 2023

I found red flowers of Camellia japonica - 'Izumo-Taisha Aka Yabu' in Japanese in my east yard. Finally, red Camellia have blossomed here!

Friday, March 10, 2023

Czech national baseball team won the game against PR China!

Sunday, March 5, 2023

I found three flowers of Camellia japonica - 'Kocho Wabisuke' in Japanese in my east yard. Many Camellia species have not blossomed yet this year. I guess it is due to a series of cold pressures that licked Tokyo and its surroundings. Anyway, Spring has come!

Saturday, March 4, 2023

It is really warm here in Tokyo, and the sky is blue! However, pollen dust spreads around Tokyo and its surroundings so that you have to put a mask on the nose!!! It were as if you need an alert at the level of "state emergency" this year. What a miserable spring it is!

Sunday, February 19, 2023

It's very warm here in Tokyo; almost 68 degrees F! What a lovely day it is! Meanwhile, next week would be very cold again. We're still in winter.

Friday, February 17, 2023

The beginning of this year is full of crimes around the country here in Japan. A series of robberies has scared people in Tokyo and its surroundings and many living in the western regions of Japan. And, many fraud cases are still reported around the country. Fraud and robberies are reported in any times in Japan. However, the scale of damages caused by those incidents is tremendously larger than ever before. What a miserable time we live in!

Monday, January 23, 2023

An extreme cold alert has been issued around the entire Japan. I've no idea whether it would be so serious. These weeks, weather forecast is not reliable. However, it is really cold today, at least!

Thursday, January 19, 2023

In my east yard, three pure white flowers of Camellia japonica - 'Haku Myouren-ji' blossom this week. Meanwhile, other Camellia species don't have flowers this year. I have no idea why this year is so different from usual.

Tuesday, January 3, 2023

Il Beato Papa Benedicto XVI has passed away on the 31st December. A time has closed and one of the most righteous persons has passed away from the world. I met him in Rome in 2011. He was a very charming scholar. That was my feeling. Now he has found a final destination of his pilgrimage for the heaves.

In this December the number of the Covid victims has surged and it is ever the largest during these three years here in Japan. Apparently, something is different from the spread of the omicron variant in this summer. The government has restricted again the border control for any passengers from China and Hong Kong. We face another pandemic surely.

Thursday, December 22, 2022

It was raining during this morning. I happened to take a look at the southern east yard of my garden and found a ivory-white flower of Camellia japonica - 'Saga Hatsu-Arashi' blossomed! What a nice gift from God it is! This one didn't have a bulb last year. Last week I cursed it, saying "I will cut you out of this garden without having a flower this year." It might have listened to me.

Tuesday, December 20, 2022

BOJ has abruptly changed its monetary policy! The yield of the bond goes up by .25%! Stock price goes down and Yen is bull against other currencies! Wow!

Sunday, December 4, 2022

I found a pink bulb of Camellia japonica - 'Kuchi-beni Kochou Wabi-suke' in Japanese having blossomed in my east yard. It is too early for this species. It's a nice gift before Christmas. But, other Camellia species don't have any bulbs. What's going this year? The extreme heat has devastated others this summer. Alas!

This Sunday is the beginning of advent in this year. However, an extraordinary bad news has been released from Vatican. It is the violation of the deal between Vatican and Communist China on the appointment of bishops in the mainland China. Vatican officially condemned the Communists that violated the accord.

I'm really upset of the Communists, and am also upset about the Vatican's deal with them. Are you really serious to deal with the living Satan that is the Chinese Communists?

What a bad joke it is on the first day of advent!

My latest article has been published online from Taylor & Francis in the journal, Applied Artificial Intelligence: Emulating Heterogeneity of Individuals and Visualizing Its Influence on Ant Swarm Migration. I particularly appreciate the staff at the production division of the publisher for their great support for me.

It's very warm here in Tokyo alike in the end of September. Although very cold winter is expected this year, everything is contrary to such expectation. Something is strange on this autumn. And, two consecutive earthquakes happened just right now. The epicenter is same for the two quakes and it is under Tokyo Bay. Wish nothing happen until the end of the year.

Thursday, October 27, 2022

I found Leucosceptrum stellipilum (Miq.) Kitam. et Murata - 'Mi-ka-eri Sou' in Japanese blossomed today! This is a rare species and is original in Japan. It looks very devastated by the heat of this summer. I thank God for His grace to have revived that after the heat.

Wednesday, October 26, 2022

A baneberry has blossomed in my east yard. Every year this flower tells you the beginning of winter season here in Japan. It was very cold this morning. What a lovely angel it is!

Saturday, October 15, 2022

I found an ivory-white flower of hairy toad lily that is originated in Japan. This species has purple dots on the petal. However, sometimes a pure white flower blossoms in my east yard. What a lovely gift it is by grace of God! We're in the midst of fall season here in Tokyo!

Monday, October 10, 2022

It was the coldest autumn here in Tokyo last Friday for eighty-eight years. Air temperature was always lower than 56 degrees F. I felt freezing in a half-sleeve shirt during the day time. Today it is again cold weather here. And, a little bid showering. Although 10 of October was known an extraordinary sunny day here in Tokyo for a century long history, everything has changed due to the latest climate dynamics. Simply speaking, it is awful to me. I need a sweater or half-coat today.

Wednesday, September 28, 2022

My east yard has three species of flowers blossom right now. From north east to south east, Aconitum, Japanese Strobilanthes, Pseudolysimachion have purple flowers during these two weeks. They have survived tropical cyclones which devastated many regions in Japan. Everything is changing in response to climate crisis that is going on around the world. However, you can enjoy such lovely flowers in the midst of Tokyo. What a nice gift from God!

Tuesday, September 13, 2022

Three tropical cyclones approach the southern regions of Japan this week. I'm not sure if those should bring a disaster to Tokyo. Everyday I watch weather forecast and it is just forecast. I don't trust it. These cyclones would be something trivial at last.

Sunday, September 11, 2022

I found a blue-purple flower of Pseudolysimachion - 'Toutei Ran' in Japanese in my south-east yard in this morning. After a week of very hot weather, autumn flowers rush into blossom. This flower is a native in south Japan and it loves sunshine and dry soil. I guess that this species can survive the on-going climate change in Japan.

Thursday, September 1, 2022

A super cyclone stays near Okinawa and its surrounding islands now. And, it pumps a huge volume of wet air into the mainland of Japan. Now thunderstorms wash around Tokyo today. Although you would expect it be cool after those storms, it is contrary to usual storms. Very warm and not windy is it. Simply speaking, unbearable. Tomorrow should be same with today. What a crazy beginning of September it is!

Monday, August 29, 2022

This morning we enjoyed a very clear blue sky here in Tokyo. It was really cool and dry. Now, it is showring in the evening. Alas!

Sunday, August 28, 2022

It's really cool and pleasant here in Tokyo. After a heavy rain during this morning, everything has been cooled down. What a nice Sunday gift from the heavens! it is! Thank God and praise Him!

Friday, August 26, 2022

In the center of Kyoto City, a boar was captured today! I've never heard of a wild animal like a boar run through the main street of Kyoto. Probably, Kyoto has become a sparce place where animals enjoy life after the pandemic.

Tuesday, August 16, 2022

Kyoto's popular fire ritual "Gozan no Okuribi" has been back! Tonight five fire-symbols have appeared again in the complete form as they were before the pandemic. After a thunderstorm, all the fires were on the five mountains. This religious ritual is a memory for those passed away on the year. People remember their beloved in the fires. Gradually, we have restored everything that we lost during the pandemic.

Monday, August 15, 2022

It is very wet in air here in Tokyo today, and very hot. I was soaked inside home even in the morning. Today is Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Solemnity. I stayed home and celeberated today. After the pandemic, everything has changed dramatically. Probably, this Christmas Day should be the same with last year ...

Sunday, August 7, 2022

It had been cool for two days after a storm here in Tokyo. But, again ... It was hot and very wet today. Tomorrow, it would be much hotter than today. I feel as if living in a tropical island. Crazy...

Thursday, August 4, 2022

A storm has washed out heat on streets and it is really nice to enjoy this cool weather. It's around 73 degrees F here in Tokyo. It is amazing! From the hell to the heavens we have been raised up! But, next week should be so hot as this week...

Wednesday, August 3, 2022

It is still 89.6 degrees F at 22:12 outside here in Tokyo. The highest was 100.4 degrees at noon. I had almost a meltdown even inside. Crazy!!! What a harsh weather it was!

Tuesday, August 2, 2022

It's 100.94 degrees F now here in Tokyo. This is an official record! Everything has been stunned under the sun. Tomorrow should be higher on the temperature.

Monday, August 1, 2022

Today was a step before entering the hell; it was almost 100 degrees F here in Tokyo. Simply speaking, it is crazy to go out from home. It's dangerous to stay outside, even worse to do something. I really understand this climate has changed during the pandemic, awfully. I'm sure the next problem that we should tackle with is climate change.

Sunday, July 31, 2022

It's almost 99 degrees F here in Tokyo. And, wet wind licks the streets. Simply speaking, everything is unbearable! Tomorrow should be same as is today. Alas!

Thursday, July 28, 2022

A huge thunderstorm washes everything here in Tokyo right now. Air temperature goes down very low. But, air is full of bad moisture. That is the summer of Japan. Tomorrow morning would be very bad due to this storm.

Wednesday, July 27, 2022

A thermometer showed 114 degrees F on the balcony outiside my house! I've never seen that value in my life. I bourght it back inside, and waited for a while. It's returned to 85 degrees inside now. It is so high as it has shown outiside, really.

It was a bad weather here in Tokyo today; it was rainy and hot and very wet. I felt like being in hell. I hate summer in Japan because of this hot rainy weather. Probably, this hellish summer is going on until the beginning of this October. Alas!

Monday, July 25, 2022

The current surge of COVID cases has gradually made a serious impact on daily life here in Japan. Several routes of bus transportation have been suspended for a week in a western region of Tokyo. And, some post offices in the center of Tokyo have been closed due to wide spread of the disease inside workers. The situation is apparently worse than the first and second year of the pandemic. I've decided to keep working from home until the end of this nightmare.

Monkeypox has entered Japan. It's confiremd right now by the health authoriy. After the COVID-19, a second pandemic might have begun here in Japan.

Sunday, July 24, 2022

It is really hot again here in Tokyo today. Meanwhile, the railroad transportation has been suspended for hald a day in Kyoto and Osaka due to a World War II bomb that was found recently. What a crazy day it is!
