The Camellia japonica - white 'Myou-ren-ji', that I uploaded yesterday, is one of rare species in Japan. Many Camellia species have been introduced into gardening markets since the Edo era. Among those species that white one of 'Myou-ren-ji' is very much rare and difficult to nurse and survive climate changes due to its weak nature against heat. Anyway it was very much touch work for me to transplant it from Kyoto to Tokyo; it took almost one year or more to care of the stuck. This color of white is very transparent one, but not ivory white. I really love this lovely Camellia.
