"What do you want me to do for you?" That is what Jesus asked a blind beggar, known as Bartimaeus, who shout for Him, "Have mercy on me! The Son of David!" At today mass, Fr. Nicholas asked us, "Why did you come to church today?"

The reason that we come to church is simple: we would like to go to heavens as our Blessed Lady Ever Virgin as assumed into heaven. But, anything else? Something must be beyond that simple reason. What is that? If you don't have any other things, you trust in yourself without Jesus. You rely on yourself. Don't you really need Jesus in your life? Yea, you need Jesus. For what? That is the reason you come to church and pray everyday.

You have something that you want beyond what you have now. You come to church to see Jesus for something you feel poor about. "What do you want me to do for you? Ask it and it will be given to you; search it and you will find; and, knock and the door will be opened to you". Fr. Nicholas stressed it, "We shall follow that Bartimaeus has shown in the gospel; he is our model!"

Today, I recognized it.
