The year of 2015 is special on some coincidences among several different calendar systems. First, two different systems of lunar calendar have the same date for the new year. Tibet calendar and Chinese calendar show the same January 1st today. Second, Ash Wednesday of the Catholic Church is just a day before the lunar new year. In my experience, those two phenomena are very much rare to occur between the East and the West calendar systems. This year might be a special one in history.
