In the south yard of my garden, two species of peony have blossomed since last week. One of them is 'Kamada Nishiki', which has a thin purple flower and the other is 'Haku-Ou Jishi', which has a very lovely ivory flower. And, a green shoot of Arisaema serratum - 'Mamushi Gusa' in Japanese has sprouted from the earth in the east yard. This one has a very strange shape like a green viper. Peony tells you that it's been in Spring. And, that tiny snake like shoot tells you the coming of summer.
