Last night, I had a talk with a full professor at a university in the States. He told me his recent awful experience in a review process of a paper that he submitted last year. I understood what he would like me to grasp, thus what had happened to him. I myself have experienced the same thing as a reviewer and also contributor to an IEEE conference, which had been acknowledged a flagship one in the same area of study. We live in a world that is completely different from before the pandemic began. We were too open to totalitarian countries and their followers and misused the concept of diversity. Diversity doesn't allow anybody to support injustice or rogues to squeeze righteous ones. We should have been more careful like a serpent to those evils.
