Hibiscus syriacus - 'Gion Mamori' in Japanese blossoms in my south-west yard. It is a lovely flower the color of which is very pure white. And, this species is named because it always blossoms on the first day of Gion Festival that is held in Kyoto. It is not synchronicity but a habit of this flower, but who cares of it? It's nice to have such a lovely flower in this country!
