I've accepted an invitation to review a physics paper for a journal title that belongs to Elsevier today. I guess that a reviewer might not have finished a task of review by a due date for assessment. The paper has been submitted almost half a year before. The COVID pandemic has brought a serious impact on academia, very negatively.
