Japan's leading party lawmaker suggests a lockdown as a measure that is left only for battle against the wide spread of the Delta variant here in Tokyo. Gov't spokesperson denies his idea, however many local governors support his idea and urge Gov't to follow it. A first lockdown might be enforced sooner than expected in Japan.
