Today is Sunday; In the Divine Office, the Canticle for the Morning Prayer includes a passage: "Bless the Lord, dew and frost." As it prophecies, frosts dropped from the heaven and covered around the ground here in Tokyo! It was a May storm, literally, but we've never experienced here in Japan. It was usual in England, particularly in the Border. But, here is Japan: we have never had a May storm before.

Yesterday, there was a huge quake in the North East Japan, that shook Tokyo much. In February and March, and then this May. A series of strong quakes were recorded here in Japan at the same place of epicenter.

Meanwhile, there is a good news. I found an Anemone flaccida - 'Nirin Sou' in Japanese in my northeast yard having an ivory white flower this morning. It is a lovely surprise to me, because it has not had any flower yet.

Nature is full of surprise.
