I talked to my senior friend, who deals Japanese arts and antiques, today. He mentioned that every standard on pricing of arts and antiques is abandoned and distroyed since last summer and situaitions have become worse due to the covid-19. It is same with review systems of academic conferences. Some conferences apparently use AI-supported systems for review of papers under plagiarism detection.  But, they do exclude papers from people who have contributed to conferences for years, and only include ones of some specific groups. This is killing trustworthiness of academia, and is very dangerous and destructive to it. The covid-19, that is truly Wuhan China virus, has a great impact even on academia. And, behind that, China money is creeping around the world. I don't believe that Joe Biden can handle this situation.
