It's been rainy for 19 days here in Tokyo last week, and is somehow sunny today! And, very wet, unbearable it is. Meanwhile, Adenophora remotiflora - 'Soba-na' in Japanese has many light-purple flowers and Hibiscus syriacus - 'Gion-mamori' in Japanese has its ivory white flowers in my north east yard. It should be rainy again tomorrow. True summer comes a bid later this year.
