I found a light purple flower of Anemonopsis macrophylla in my north east yard yesterday. It has been very hot and wet during August; I was afraid that it might have any flowers this year. Bloom of this species tells you the end of summer approaches day by day. It is still hot, very hot, but nature prepares for transition of seasons.
