A very deep red Camellia japonica - 'Kouya-Komachi' has begun to bloom in the south yard. The color of the flower is really beautiful and vivid this year. Last year it was so thin on the color that I had cosiderable doubt on its autheticity, thus species identification. And, this year it is has shown it is the species, finally. Other Camellia trees are ready to bloom in the east yard. I'm excited to enjoy gardening this winter.
