I have two pots of Camellia japonica - 'Kouya-Komachi' from Nagoya and Gifu region. Those are really different from each other on the flowers; the former is quite similar with the original red Camellia japonica, so-called "Ya-bu" in Japanese; and, the latter is very much different from Kouya-Komachi. But, now the latter one begins to have very lovely flowers which are almost same with the traditional Kouya-Komachi's. It's amazing! I'm excited to see the flowers in the morning day by day.
