Fr. Augustine's preach at today's mass was really impressive to me. He referred to the introit of the Isaiah's prophet on Christ: "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God." What kind of straight way does He provide to us? He paves our crooked hearts to be gentle like a babe, as we kneel before the Babe Christ in the cradle. Yes, our own hearts are crooked. What should we do? Just kneel before the presence of the Most High who created us. Like a babe kneel to the Babe. What a nice word isn't it at Christmas!
