Another series of serious killing has shaken the region around my home town near Greater Tokyo area. Six people including school kids were murdered in the sight of police and neighbors this week. The murderer is an immigrant from Peru, and his elder brother was sentenced to jail for thirty-five years for killing seventeen victims in Peru, according the law enforcement authority and several news resources. That murderer himself had been diagnosed to be insane in his childhood. This dangerous guy has been approved in the immigration process without any additional examination. What has the immigrant office done in their job? This incident surely brings a serious discussion on the on-going reform of the immigration act in Japan.
