An intercession at the mass has confused me still; that is "May Lord spare us who face unprecedented (natural) disasters." Actually, it was my role to pray the passage on behalf of the community. I was really puzzled at the meaning of the word, "unprecedented". Bishops may have indicated the previous mega quake happened in 2011, I believe. But the literal meaning of the word appears as a second disaster that you have to prepare for. Many people should have been involved in editing intercessions. It often takes one year or more to make them public. Sometimes God gives wisdom of prophecy into His Church. It might be such a kind of warning for this Lent.
