The University of Tokyo research group found that in the mid-sixteenth century two ex-slave Japanese males were married in Portuguese Catholic churches and that to other freemen were married with Portuguese freewomen. It is fantastic! Many Europeans visited Japan in the age, though just a small number of formal delegates were recorded on their travel to the West from Japan. Many people might have traveled much abroad beyond Japan as it is at the present.
