Reading the Book of Job, you are close to the relationship between endurance and hunger for the presence of God. We pray always, "... Give us this day our daily bread ... ." Why shall we pray so? Because we are in hunger. For what are we hungry? We are poor in food. What kind of food? It is manna that only God can provide for us, servants. As servants, we are always hungry and thirsty for help that comes from Lord Jesus. The presence of God is a grace that we should see and receive from Him. It comes to us only when we are really hungry and thirsty in faith. Then, always God visits us when we are in endurance of troubles. Rejoice! Rejoice! God is near you when you are in troubles. He is the unchanging friend as he said so for ever and ever.
