Japan's hub airport will move from Narita to Haneda in 2014. Haneda is very much closer to Tokyo Central than Narita. I used Haneda in a flight from Hong Kong last year. Its access from the gate to ground transport was smooth and convenient. Just twenty minutes after landing, I was before a platform for a shuttle bus that took half an hour for Shinjuku. If you come to Japan, you should choose Haneda but not Narita anymore.
